Romance Twitter has always been my happy place. Last night was not exception when a tweet made me realize how much my book cover preference has changed over the past months. I mean, male and female models are still okay but the lack of diversity and the seemingly same people over and over make me second-guess if I wanted to buy the book. Don’t judge a book by its cover, you say. And while it still rings true to other people, I have my preference and I’m sticking to it. Hence, now I tend to spend my money on books with couple on the cover. There’s just something so magnetic about crazy in love couples in front of a romance book!
I am now "more couple in book covers pls"

I’ve teamed up with Jen, fellow book cover enthusiast, to compile our favorites from this month’s releases. And we hope to keep this up monthly. As for the previous months, we have something for that as well. But for now, here are the book covers that made the cut this month!
After a very public breakup with a media-hungry politician, fitness trainer Tori Alvarez escapes to Aruba for rest, relaxation, and copious amounts of sex on the beach—the cocktail, that is. She vows to keep her vacation a man-free zone but when a cute guy is seated next to her on the plane, Tori can’t resist a little harmless flirting.
Hollywood heartthrob Carter Stone underwent a dramatic physical transformation for his latest role and it’s clear his stunning seat mate doesn’t recognize the man beneath the shaggy beard and extra lean frame. Now Carter needs help rebuilding his buff physique and Tori is perfect for the job. It doesn’t hurt that she makes his pulse pound in more ways than one.
Sparks are flying, until a pesky paparazzo reveals Carter’s identity. Tori is hurt and pissed. She wants nothing to do with another man in the limelight, but she’s still got to whip him into shape. Can Carter convince Tori he’s worth the threat to her privacy that comes with dating a famous actor, or will Tori chisel him down to nothing before he even gets the chance?
Grab the popcorn…
JEN: Yes, this is just the right hint of sexy with her shirt riding up in the back. Also kissing. And his forearms. This cover really has it all.
APRIL: KISSING COUPLE ON A KISSING BOOK!!! Can I just say how tight he’s hugging her and I. Am. Here. For. It.
When an entrepreneur and an Army reservist end up in their own reality show fauxmance, they have to decide whether their love exists just for the cameras…or if it’s for real in this warmhearted romance, perfect for foodies and wine lovers!
Bryn Aquino, the former manager of a Filipino restaurant, knows the value of hard work. With a shiny new MBA in tow and an investor, she’s ready to start her own business: a culinary retreat where visitors can relax, cook, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Dubbed Paraiso Retreats, she leases the childhood home of army reservist Mitchell Dunford—who returned from Afghanistan to revive his family’s vineyard—but finds herself in a bind when her investor pulls out of the business.
When the retreat catches an internet live stream producer’s eye through social media channels, Bryn is offered the opportunity of a lifetime—to document her journey in exchange for a hefty paycheck. Excited, Bryn happily agrees to the arrangement…only to find out that she’s going to have to fake an onscreen romance with her indifferent landlord in order to keep her audience interested.
As Mitchell and Bryn put on a show for the cameras, they find their romance isn’t hard to fake. They’ve got more in common under their bluster, banter, and doubts. As their relationship heats up and the cameras keep rolling, the line between show and reality blurs. And when the pressures of family, business, and the audience stack against them, will their romance survive internet stardom? Or was it just for show?
APRIL: He’s holding her so closely and OMG finally another Asian on the cover! WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT NOT EXPRESSIVE ASIANS AGAIN? BECAUSE LOOK AT HER BEING SHY BUT HAPPY AND IN LOVE.
JEN: Her face is really cute and so happy. I totally agree with you there!
The most beautiful man I’ve ever seen is the same one who can ruin everything.
The first time I lay eyes on Callan Walker, I know he’ll be trouble. With his smug grin, hot Aussie accent and thousand dollar shoes, he’s just the kind of rich guy who always gets what he wants.
And he wants two things: a night of sin, and my cooperation as he outmaneuvers his powerful mother to take control of his uncle’s estate.
I can’t afford either one. I’m the only thing standing between my little sister and the foster care system. He may have money and charm on his side, but I have something even more powerful — pure desperation. This temp job at his mother’s company can become a full time job for me. It has to.
But when Callan’s eyes rake over my body, sometimes I forget my obligations. His piercing gaze finds the fun, optimistic girl I used to be and not the tired person I’ve become.
And it works–if only for a moment. Our night together was a mistake. I can’t afford to get sucked into his high-powered family’s treachery. But the closer I get to Callan, the more layers I find beneath those expensive clothes. Though I can’t forget this is temporary. He’s temporary. I have too much to lose.
Too bad my foolish heart didn’t get the memo…
JEN: All about those hands on her back. Mmm. Nice.
APRIL: His hands ARE huge!
I’ll be there.
Through thick and thin.
Ride or die.
You can count on me.
The promises people make. The vows we take.
Assumptions of the heart.
Emotion tells us how we feel, but life…life has a way of plunging us in boiling water, burning away our illusions, testing our faith, trying our convictions.
Love floating is a butterfly, but love tested is an anchor.
For Grip and Bristol
Love started at the top of the world
On a Ferris wheel under the stars
But when that love is tested, will they fly or fall?
JEN: This is a great take on the couple cover. It’s dramatic but still visually appealing.
APRIL: I read this series and I can’t wait for more! This cover is exactly like the interracial couple in the book. The way she’s holding him with a diamond on her finger is saying a lot!

Everyone is a stranger at some point, right?
Pulled by an explicable, undeniable thread of… something… Nick and Noah find themselves keen on becoming more. Hashtags and flights and late-night text sessions lead to a connection neither has experienced, or expected. Beyond the shiny veneer of social media, further than the shallow depths of a good selfie, down to the real, for real stuff that relationships are made of… can Nick and Noah actually reach their prematurely awarded goal?
JEN: Apparently, the hands are really important to me. I think it implies a gentleness? He’s careful with her and that she’s precious? This is what romance does so well!
APRIL: Just how glorious this cover is?! Hero’s hand on her arm that clearly implies “I got you, baby” and heroine looking fine as hell going like “Oh yes. You can totally fall in love with me.”
