Love Emergency Book 2: Emergency Delivery

Emergency Delivery is the second book of the Love Emergency series by Samanthe Beck and it’s all sorts of cute and heartwarming!

Hunter Knox is the paramedic partner of Beau Montgomery from Emergency Engagement, book 1, who’s had his fair share of life failures and is struggling to get in to med school because of the lack of recommendation letter from his supervisor. But while waiting for that letter, he’s doing a pretty good job tending to different kinds of emergencies. Only he was caught off guard with the sudden surge of protectiveness over his patient and the patient’s newborn kid when he helped her deliver a pretty baby girl on the side of the road.

Madison Foley is the definition of a wrecked, clueless girl. She’s just 22, already a single mother and swore off to men because of her a-hole of an ex. Her grandmother who raised her died and now she’s alone with her kid, with almost zero cash because her jerk ex-boyfriend who knocked her up was a gambling maniac as she found out. She’s struggling but she kept on going because what choice she had really? It’s just that she wasn’t prepared when the paramedic who helped her offered her comfort she couldn’t refuse. But she’s ready to do everything for her daughter. Or at least that’s what she thought. For her daughter. Riiiight.

Emergency Delivery was so adorable and fresh in my opinion because the hero wasn’t a jerk. And oh so freaking hot! Good guy + hot guy? Eeeee!!! He actually believed in happy ever afters! *cue ovaries exploding* And really he’s such a sweet and swoony guy! I wish I could keep him! Every girl deserves a Hunter Knox in their lives. The heroine, on the other side, was a great, strong girl as well. Samanthe did an awesome job to match the two characters with a great enjoyable story. Add in the little quirks of parenthood and you’re set for a good time. The pacing was great and the characters were very lovable. I was so glad that the book wasn’t one of the twisty ones that made you question life. Instead, it was light, entertaining with a good serving of hotness. It’s simple but definitely not boring! I mean, Maddy’s ex was a gambling addict and his appearance in the book helped a lot for that mysterious effect. From page one I was hooked already and was reminded that it’s Samanthe Beck. And her books never fail me.

Overall, this is one of my favorite Samanthe Beck’s books that is going to my To Reread List. You’re really going to enjoy this!
